The development combination of Dura Vermeer and contractor De Nijs are set to execute the construction of the Pontsteiger building in Houthaven. The city of Amsterdam came to a decision on the matter on March 18, 2014.
The building, shaped like a port, will be constructed on the head of the Pontsteiger, from which the ferry will depart to North Amsterdam. Pontsteiger will house around 450 homes (rental and private properties) as well as various public facilities.
Construction of this beautiful building will start in June 2015.
Van Rossum is proud of being involved in this project as the structural engineer.
