The former options exchange building on Amsterdam’s Rokin has new occupants and with them, a whole new face.
The massive concrete facade made way for a new, transparent aluminium curtain wall. This of course has a number of consequences in terms of stability. The large void in the middle of the floor, creating direct contact between the first four floors and the central reception, has quite a few structural consequences. In the end, it became a gorgeous transparent building.
Van Rossum contributed to this transformation with great pleasure.
